What's This? Haunted Hues 2026 mystery knit-along
A mystery knit-along inspired by the whimsical, eerie magic of Halloween Town.
this is Halloween…

Haunted Hues Returns

Our beloved mystery knit-along is creeping back — and this year, we're throwing open the door to Halloween Town. A little Jack. A little Sally. A lot of "what's this?!" Limited kits. One month a year. Don't say Zero didn't warn you.

for the Halloween obsessed

Some People Put Out One Pumpkin.

. . . then there's the rest of us.

If you're the kind of person whose Halloween decorations go up the second the calendar flips, who has Strong Opinions about candy corn, who's been planning your costume since June — Haunted Hues is the sock project you knit through October.

Each Friday, a new pattern clue drops. By the end of the month, you're holding a finished pair of toe-up mystery socks in fingering weight, designed by Melinda of rhyFlower Knits — known for original, deeply detailed, size-inclusive patterns.

Sometimes you knit alone with a candle and a true-crime podcast. Sometimes you're in the pop-up Facebook group with 300+ other knitters, comparing color choices and watching someone's cat knock the project off the couch in real time.
