When does it ship?
Countdown calendars ship in mid to late November so they arrive in plenty of time for December 1st.
I don't celebrate Christmas. Is this still for me?
Yes — completely. This is a December countdown, not a religious one. Open on whatever twelve days work for you, finish whenever feels right, and take what you want from the experience.
Can I gift this to someone else?
You can — the magic-maker doesn't have to be you. Add a note at checkout if you'd like us to wrap it for gifting.
How many days do I have to open them?
However you like. Most makers open one a day for the twelve days leading up to mid-December, or save it for the twelve days leading up to Christmas Eve. You can also open one every other day to stretch the magic across the whole month. Your countdown, your rules.
What's in the Christmas Eve Cast On Box?
One full 100g skein of hand-dyed yarn in your chosen weight, plus a curated little collection of goodies that make casting on a new project on Christmas Eve feel like an occasion. It's offered as an add-on at checkout — not available separately this year.
Can I see the colors before I buy?
The whole point is the mystery — we keep the actual colors a surprise until you open them. We do share an inspiration mood (above) so you can get a feel for the palette's overall direction.
Will I have enough yarn for the shawl?
Yes — the shawl pattern is designed specifically for the yardage in the twelve mini skein set. If you'd like a larger finished piece, choose the twenty-four set or the DK weight for more substantial yardage.
What if my variant is sold out by the time I'm ready to order?
Quantities are limited and we sometimes run out of specific variants before preorders close. The buy box will show you which combinations are still available in real time.
